ABOUT>
I am a composer based in Sheffield. Nature and dance are reccuring themes within my compositions such as 'Autumn', 'Lily of the Lake' and 'Dance Sketches' (available to listen to on soundcloud). I have had the privilege of having my composition 'Deer in Sunlit Woodland' (for cello and piano) performed at the International Composers Festival in Hastings, September 2015. In 2018 I performed a a folk song of mine, 'Wild and Free' (for voice and piano, in Bexhill to raise money for the Mane Chance Sanctuary.
I recently graduated from The University of Sheffield with a MA in Composition (Instrumental) 2021. This period of study gave me a unique opportunity to explore diverse sound worlds and write for incredible musicians. I collaborated with the film maker Fiona Hardy to create the soundtrack for 'Ancestral Waters' and 'Ice Organ'. The later of the two was also an exciting collaboration with electroacoustic composer Julia Schauerman, whom I also worked with to create 'Rubbings in Ruins', a work for solo whistle and electronics.
